I stayed 8/21 as previous reviews attest Dot is a gem! She was super helpful with suggestions and greets to you with a lovely smile and an all-around wonderful person so fun to chat with :) There was another gal at the desk when I checked out and gosh I forgot her name (Rachel?) I'm so sorry - she was so nice as well...

I had a great stay at the Econo Lodge in Laurel, MS! The front desk lady, Dot, was extremely helpful, friendly, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The rooms were spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the area was nice and quiet — perfect for a good night’s rest. I’ll definitely be staying here every time I pass through Laurel. Highly recommend!

For the money this is about the best hotel in town. The wonderful lady (DOT) at the front desk upon checkout just made the stay so much better. If you having a blah day her smile and quick witted conversation will leave you feeling better about the world on your way out the door. Rooms are nice and clean, guests are mostly out of town workers, very safe. If you book through the Agoda app you can save at least $20 a night. A+++

On a budget this is the place! The room was exceptional. Very clean, everything worked, comfy bed and pillows. But our praise goes to the wonderful staff. The front desk, manned by Kim as well as Kindrea. Kim checked us in and informed us of places of interest in the area. She also came to our room and personally helped us with the TV remote 🥴. Kindrea was very pleasant and helpful. Most important, coffee was hot and plentiful! Housekeeping wins. Bob and Chana were so nice and made sure our room was well taken care of. When we visit the area again we will definitely stay here. Did I mention you can’t beat the price!!!

We traveled all day into dark when we arrived. The precious lady, Dot, at the front desk greeted us, checked us in and went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met. She was very informative about places to eat, things to see and history of the town. She was a delight. The room was warm and the bed was soft. We will be back to visit again.

Why do I give this place five stars???? Is the lady who works up front I believe her name is Dottie or Dot if I ever gotten a motel business I would want someone like her or prefer her to be doing my business she's very informative and personal make it make you feel right at home so much so I drive an hour and 10 minutes to go to my job could I find a place closer yes I could and a little cheaper however I come here the way she treats me and makes me feel at home nothing but the best I don't see the lady as often as I should you're working maybe she just works part-time is a shear pleasure to see her here. I hope when you come here she's working because the others are nothing like her they're like blah why are you here Thanks you for all you do don't get me wrong on the other remarks the place is really clean they take pride in that I give them that I'll be back

Ms Dot Is such a sweet lady very helpful and thoughtful. Ms. Kendria very nice with great customer service. Breakfast could be a little better!

Econo Lodge Laurel is a great place to stay. I stayed from Friday, February 6, 2026, to Saturday, February 7, 2026. The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient and quiet. Overall, a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

The rooms are fairly decent for an Econo lodge. Location was perfect for the work I needed to do. The front desk associate was one of the nicest ladies I have ever met and assisted with everything I needed. Her name was Dot. She made the whole stay worth it.

Dot is the kindest and most welcoming lady! Talk about Southern hospitality! The rooms were clean and the whole place felt safe. Dot checked me in, talked with me about Jesus and her grandkids, and gave me handwritten directions to a local burger joint (which was delicious). I would definitely stay here again!
